Abi currently teaches Geography and Politics at Sir Thomas Rich’s School in Gloucester. Previously Abi worked in a mixed comprehensive as the Teaching and Learning Coordinator for Humanities and as an Advanced Skills Teacher. As part of her role as an AST, Abi worked with trainee teachers, NQTs and experienced staff to develop pedagogy and confidence in the classroom.

Abi has led CPD in a number of schools and at regional and national conferences on the international dimension. As an ITT mentor for a number of years Abi enjoys supporting new staff. She values the role of NQT mentor as it affords her the opportunity to provide training, feedback and support for new staff teaching the subject she loves, without the pressure of school-based targets.
