Anne Hacker

Anne Hacker has been a teacher of PE for 33 years. Following her four-year B.ED degree at I.M.Marsh College of Physical Education in Liverpool, specialising in PE, Dance and English, she worked for 4 years at Standish High School near Wigan. She was promoted to I/C Dance after her first year and was part of a working committee to work out what the New National Curriculum should look like.

She then moved to Wallingford in Oxfordshire for 9 years, during which time she took on various roles: Second in charge of Girls PE, Head of Girls PE, and Assistant Head of Lower Site. Her final move, following two maternity leaves, was to Cirencester Deer Park School where she has been Head of PE for the last 20 years.

Over the years she has seen many changes to Education but has not lost the love of teaching PE and seeing a child achieve and reach their potential.
